1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, like your login status and preferences, which makes your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.

Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting ("first-party") or by third-party services operating on that site.

2. Our legal basis for using cookies

We use essential cookies based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure Service. For all non-essential cookies (analytics, functional, and marketing), we rely on your consent, which you can provide or withdraw at any time through our cookie consent banner or your account settings.

In accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR, and similar regulations, we will not place non-essential cookies on your device without your prior consent.

4. Managing your cookies

Cookie consent banner: When you first visit TaskFlow, you will see a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time.

Account settings: Logged-in users can manage cookie preferences from their account settings page. Changes take effect immediately.

Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent TaskFlow from functioning properly. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.

Opt-out links: For Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being collected.

5. Third-party cookies

We use a limited number of trusted third-party services that may set their own cookies. These include our analytics provider and payment processor (Stripe). Each third party is bound by their own privacy and cookie policies.

We do not allow advertising networks to place cookies on TaskFlow. We do not engage in cross-site tracking or retargeting.

6. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. However, we respect your privacy preferences and you can manage cookies through the methods described above. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on our website or via email.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
